Ishwa Salim, a British Muslim of Pakistani descent. Ishwa was born in London in 2000 to Pakistani immigrant parents. She grew up in a tight-knit, multi-generational Pakistani community in East London, with a strong sense of cultural and religious identity. Ishwa’s childhood was filled with a vibrant social life within the South Asian community and involvement in school activities and religious education. However, moving to the more homogeneous environment of Oxford for university was a significant adjustment.
