Everyday Muslim worked closely with Muslim Aid to record 15 in-depth oral history interviews with former founders, CEOs, Chairs, trustees, and staff, which are now available on YouTube. Drawing on background research into each participant and their period of involvement, the team developed tailored questions that placed personal memories within broader social and political contexts.
Selected clips from these interviews informed a 40th anniversary history timeline and exhibition. All interviews were transcribed, tagged, digitised, and securely backed up, creating a permanent archive of Muslim Aid’s organisational history that captures the charity’s inner life and preserves it for future research, learning, and public engagement.
